Every now and then I blog short things on my thoughts, on technology and on anything else that grabbed my attention. Most of my blogs are also shared on my Twitter account. Feel free to follow me there too.
As a Chief Technology Officer at Ingenico ePayments I’m both a mentor and a student.
I believe in sharing experiences as openly reflecting on these is what leadership is about for me. This is how I learn and grow.
Photography is about capturing a moment in time that otherwise would be gone forever. I’ve loved photography ever since I was a kid and I try to practice my skills as much as possible.
Listen before you speak, read before you listen.
I try to read as much and diverse as possible in both English and Dutch. Topics that interest me are around technology (Apple and web development), leadership, geography, politics and music. My favorite articles are automatically saved to this website for you to discover and read yourself.
📖 Deciding when to ship a new product is a balancing act. Ship too early and you’ll get off to a rocky start you might never recover from. (E.g. the Newton and the whole “Eat up Martha” / “Egg Freckles” handwriting recognition debacle.) Wait too long, though, and the world will pass you by.
📖 The company’s product launch pageant has become a parody. Time to call it quits. Mr. Warzel is an Opinion writer at large.
Photographs capture a moment that otherwise would be gone forever, impossible to reproduce. As much as I would like to practice photography every single day, I don’t. Most of the photos presented here are taken during holiday trips and business travels. I enjoy trying to find the right composition and playing with light and lines.
